HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Hi everybody! I was thinking about what I'm thankful for from this past year, and of course Zido has been the biggest change in my life, but I know that I would not have been able to get him if it wasn't for the love and support of all of you. The prayers and donations have taken us so far, and while I haven't been doing the best at updating this blog, know that I think about the support from everybody every single day. You all are a huge blessing, and while I don't know all of you, my heart is grateful for you. Happy Thanksgiving and please enjoy some pictures from my life with Zido so far:

We're Home!

Yes, I know we've been home since Sunday night, but (as usual) it's been crazy. We had our first day of work and school yesterday! He did absolutely awesome at all of it. He slept at the coffee shop and under my desk and in my office. It was really cool to bring him to meet all of my friends and start to integrate him into my real life.
The strangest part was when he alerted me throughout the day. It was a total of 4 times, so finding places for me to lay down was definitely a struggle, but we did it. Another difficulty was telling people they can't pet him or talk to him, and then when they asked, explaining why. I think people understood once I was able to explain that it's for medical reasons, but it was sometimes difficult or just plain exhausting to say the same things over and over again. I have to understand that to the people at my school, this is new and exciting and they have questions, but to me I'm trying to just get through the long days with a dog at my side. I absolutely love him and I'm proud to have him at my side; it's just a huge life change and I'm trying the best I can to make it my new normal.
